Matt, A.J. and Scooter head to watch the semi-finals of the robot plastikice hockey semi-final play-offs, contested by the famous Lixil Lions. Neither of the humans particularly likes the Lions but both agree they will likely win. However on their way in they spot Doctor Braxis; Scooter offers to follow him covertly. However, the Guardian is immediately attacked by Cop-Tur, who takes Braxis off to Thruster. Matt and A.J. take Scooter back to their base for repairs, and while Rest-Q works they wonder what Braxis was doing at the game. Onboard Thruster, Braxis tells Cy-Kill his plan to dispose of the A.S.C. agents by setting a trap for the next plastikice hockey game - the final against the Oilers. He spies on the next Lixil Lions practice to check his modifications have worked while Matt also watches. His old friend Fred Major, a supplier of hockey sticks, bumps into him at one session and relays the tale of a cancelled shipment of sticks to the Lions. This inspires Matt to check out the sticks in use, finding they have mini power beams inside them. They go to watch the final with the rest of the ASC cadets but half an hour into the game the Lions players aim their sticks at Matt and A.J. as Braxis watches on. However obviously Matt deactivates the beam and decks Braxis. Rest-Q tries to take the rogue scientist away but is intercepted by Cy-Kill. Scooter arrives so Cy-Kill bugs out with Braxis. A.J. and Rest-Q then exchange sport-related puns.
